Verdict on Bleeding
Recap
The movie follows two teenage friends who find themselves getting in trouble with a blood-dealing drug lord. They go into hiding and now they face a different problem, when it comes to an abandoned cabin, that isn’t so empty.
Best Parts
The idea of a world where vampire blood and dust are traded like a normal street drug is interesting. It shows how humans will do anything for profit, and it makes the vampires feel like less of a threat.
Worst Parts
While the drug of choice is different, the core story falls into the same world we have seen too many times. It doesn’t create any interesting characters, as both the teenagers fail to grab our sympathy about the world they struggle through.
Final Thoughts – Bleeding has an interesting idea but fails to make the most of it.
