Getting there is no easy feat as you have to walk almost half an hour (depending on your pace) under the scorching sun in a rocky marsh-looking landmark. While trying to plant our foot on flat surfaces (unfortunately there’s none) and avoid slipping we were amazed watching the huge waves crashing on the rocks. Parang Nat-Geo lang. And from the looks of it the amount of plants and small fishes on the rocks filled with water, the area is perhaps immerse on water during the high tide.ongoing serious wave action

I totally ran out of superlatives as we got near the rock formation. On how Mother Nature beautifully carved this gigantic rocks into such shape is still as mystery. We gazed at the structure as if it’s a dragon rising up in its cradle to take its flight in search of its prey. Not satisfied by looking at it we climbed up the rock formation which turns to out to be more challenging because its slippery and the wind was really blowing hard.the dragon's head

We finally bade goodbye to this incredible structure – I actually consider it as the highlight of our Ilocos trip. Hopefully the influx of tourist stopping by this place wouldn’t destroy the rock formation as I’ve seen graffiti among interesting spots in Ilocos. We bought some refreshing RC Cola and all smiles before we left Kapurpurawan.
