I’ve seen gruesome car crash billboards, blood-splattering billboards, missing-extremities billboard, but this one might be the most disgusting. To promote Terminix pest control services, Publicis contained thousands of cockroaches into plastic housings on a freestanding display at Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station in Dallas. From the pictures, you might think they’re all dead. Uh, no, they’re all living, creeping, crawling cockroaches. The ad only lasted one day, and every 10 minutes the cockroaches were removed from the ad and placed in the shade to cool off so they wouldn’t cook in the Dallas sun. Oh, irony.
