Bike Route Best Bitter – Bomber Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Bomber Brewing in East Vancouver comes their "Bike Route Best Bitter" a beer named for the two bike routes that lead to the brewery Adanac and Mosaic. The beer pours a deep copper colour with an off white head. The aroma consists of tropical fruits up front with malts, toffee and floral hops. The flavour is of tropical fruits, citrus zest, malts, earth, bitterness and a residual sweetness in the finish. The alcohol content comes in at 3.9% with an IBU of 35. I enjoy a good best biter and this one hits the spot especially as the alcohol content is nice and low like the style calls for.

Commercial Description: A cyclist travels north on the mosaic bike route while another heads east on the adanac bike route. They plan to meet where the bike routes cross. It may sound like a word problem, but it's a typical trip to the bomber brewery, which is situated at just that intersection: the inspiration for our bike route best bitter. Brewed to bring people together, this award-winning session ale is bursting with the complexity of flavour only mosaic hops can provide. Ride on down or try one at home, but definitely share with a friend.
