English Language Netflix Originals Coming in February 2022

Raising Dion (Season 2)

Can you believe it’s been over two years since Raising Dion first premiered on Netflix? Us neither. Well, after delays thanks to you know what, the show is finally returning for a second season.

Here’s what you can expect from season 2:

Kid Cosmic (Season 3)

Kid Cosmic will be bowing out with its third season in February and leaning heavily on the superhero genre the show is rooted in.

The kids series is among the highest-rated titles the streamer has produced in-house and comes from Craig McCracken who is most known for The Powerpuff Girls.

Sweet Magnolias (Season 2)

The feel-good book adaptation series Sweet Magnolias finally returns with Sheryl J. Anderson continuing showrunning duties into season 2.

Here’s what we can expect going into the second season:

Inventing Anna (Limited Series)

One of our most anticipated limited series coming up to Netflix for the entirety of 2022 let alone February 2022 is Inventing Anna. Julia Garner, most known for her award-winning performance in Ozark, will play the real-life con-artist Anna Delvey.

Alongside Garner will star Anna Chlumsky, Katie Lowes, Laverne Cox, and Alexis Floyd.

Inventing Anna is one of the many titles in development for Netflix by Shonda Rhimes and her production company, Shondaland.

Tall Girl 2

Emily Ting takes over the director’s chair for this new entry of the unlikely Netflix hit, Tall Girl.

The movie picks up after the events of the first film and sees Jodi Kreyman deal with her newfound popularity. Her miscommunications, however, start causing rifts with those around her and now she really needs to ‘stand tall’.

Young Wallander: Killer’s Shadow (Season 2)

Wallander was left rather disenfranchised come the end of the first season of Young Wallander but will now be returning to the Major Crimes Unit after a change in leadership.

If you’ve never caught the show before, this is a modern adaptation of the fictional inspector Kurt Wallander.

Wu Assassins: Fistful of Vengeance

Picking up from the end of Wu Assassins, the Netflix series which didn’t do huge numbers for Netflix is a feature film called Fistful of Vengeance.

One of Us Is Lying (Season 1)

Detention brings together five disparate high schoolers, but a killing — and secrets — keep them together as a cat-and-mouse murder mystery unfolds.

Space Force (Season 2)

Space Force is back. While season 1 wasn’t exactly the huge hit Netflix wanted when it hired the writer of The Office and its lead star but perhaps the series can find its feet and a big audience for season 2.

Here’s what you can expect from the new season:

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2021)

Produced by Bad Hombre, the next Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie is coming exclusively to Netflix.

Details are still few and far between about this new animated series coming from the creators of Black Mirror but what we do know is that it’s a “Classic cartoon show that sees craziness meets an interactive quiz in a new series”.

Vikings: Valhalla (2021)

One of our most anticipated titles of the year is Vikings: Valhalla. The brand new spin-off of the excellent series that first aired on HISTORY channel is coming exclusively to Netflix.

Led by Jeb Stuart, this new series is set towards the end of the Viking Age years after the main series.

The series has been given a huge upfront order of 24 episodes which will split across three seasons.
