Six years after the release of his film “Bhoothnath”, Amitabh Bachchan is back as the friendly ghost in “Bhoothnath Returns”. The sequel begins with where the first part completes. This time Bhoothnath goes back to the spirit world only to come back to earth as a scary ghost to salvage his lost reputation.

Big B recently unveiled the poster of his “Bhoothnath Returns” with the entire star cast of the film.

This time the main protagonist is a young boy named Parth, who recently won an award at the Berlin film festival for his film “Qilla”.

Introducing Parth, Bachchan says “This small kid Parth is the only one who can see me in the film. In this film, he is the hero and I am zero. He is a fantastic actor”

Stressing on friendly and scary ghosts Bachchan says he has had heard ghost stories during his childhood. “I loved watching scary films and then would be scared to switch on the lights when it was dark praying that there will be no ghosts there. I also loved watching Superman. I would tie a bed spread around my neck and wear blue underwear over my pants and imitate him. I would stand on the windowsill all ready to fly but my parents would stop me worried I would hurt myself” reveals Bachchan.

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar for T-Series and Renu Ravi Chopra for BR Studios.

Amitabh Bachchan worked on “Zameer”, which was produced by B.R. Studios. Reminiscing about B.R.Films, Amitabh says “Many do not know that my association with B.R.Films started much before I did Zameer when I was contemplating a movie career. I had to do a screen test with them. Later, I went to a party with the people I was staying with to producer-director B.R. Chopra’s old residence at Napeansea Road in Mumbai. I had a chat with him but did not get an opportunity. Subsequently I came to know that a Filmfare contest was being held. I applied and the forms mentioned that if you pass the test you get to work with five to six directors. One of the directors mentioned was B.R. Chopra. I did not pass the test. But it was a great honor to work with B.R. Chopra later and I kept telling him that It’s a great honor to be working for his banner again” he adds.

The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan in special appearances. However, Amitabh says that he will not be sharing screen space with the Kapoor or SRK.

He says that the new generation of actors are fantastic.

“I have been working for 45 years and there are a whole lot of new actors coming. I enjoy when I get to work with them, they are fantastic. I have observed that they come with a lot of energy and observation is a big thing when you meet people. Something clicks in your mind and when you are doing a role that thought flashes in your mind and you use it in your role. I am still learning and will keep learning” he concludes.

The film is slated to release on April 11th. If you can’t wait until then you can watch previous movies starring Amitabh Bachchan at Eros Now
