So last night we dragged our butts to hot yoga. I am in Winnipeg for the next few days and my long week of travel would be starting to get to me if I didn’t have the best co-workers ever. More on that in a minute.
I had to get up at 4:00am yesterday morning and drive 90 minutes from Prince Albert to Saskatoon to catch a 7am flight to Winnipeg. I knew it would be a long drive without a coffee, so I went to the only place open at 4:15am…McDonalds. However, when I got there they had huge signs on their door saying they had a flood the night before and were closed for maintenance until 5am. Yikes! I saw there were a few people inside getting ready to re-open, so I went and literally banged on the doors until someone came out and I begged them for coffee, like a puppy begging for a treat except I was nowhere near as cute as a puppy. Even though they weren’t open for another 45 minutes, they made me a fresh pot so I wouldn’t have to drive 90 minutes without delicious coffee. Yay!
So last night we decided that because it was so cold and rainy and miserable, we would go to hot yoga at Moksha in Kildonan (which is a suburb of Winnipeg). Once we decided we were going to go, I switched into “Operation Hydration” mode and managed to get an extra liter of water into me before class. I have literally been to Moksha studios all across Canada. I think that Ted Grand should give me a free moksha membership, so I can give him feedback on all of the studios around the country. You know like a secret shopper or something, and since we are besties from CanFitPro this summer, I am sure he will say yes. So we absolutely crushed a 60 minute hot yoga class (which was totally awesome..of course!), grabbed some dinner and then…some wine!! So my absolute favorite wine ever is a California Zinfandel called Painter Bridge. I don’t know why I love it, I just do. But for some reason you can’t buy it in Ontario. But you can buy it in Winnipeg (and British Columbia)! So needless, to say I stocked up on a few bottles to take home with me! Again, YAY!
Our wine. Yes. All of it.
So I am having a pretty good day, right? We got back to the hotel, which is called the Inn at the Forks. They are all sold out…because of flippin’ Justin Bieber. I have the same travel schedule as that guy this week. We have been in Saskatoon and Winnipeg on the same night. Everyone is in town for the concert here in Winnipeg tonight. Winnipeg is full of teenage girls and I believe #Winnipeg was trending on Twitter today. I must have gotten the last room at the Forks because I was in the Waterfront VIP suite. Complete with a kitchen, hot tub, king sized bed, robes and slippers. Oh and a turn down service with little biscotti’s on my pillow! Ballin’. Yay for a third time! Susan and Alicia came over with wine and we partied…until 11pm. Lol it was still a work night people! What a Wednesday.P.S. When I previewed this blog post I noticed the fonts are spaced differently somehow, but I am not sure how to fix it. Sorry! Also, we didn't make it see Biebs, after several failed Twitter attempts to connect with him for free tickets, we went to the gym and worked out instead. Next time Justin Bieber. Next time. Never say never.
