Joe Biden has an initial job approval of 57%. That's 12 points better than Trump's first approval rating (45%). It' about middle of the pack for new presidents. Six presidents had a slightly higher rating (Obama, Clinton, Carter, Nixon, Kennedy, Eisenhower), Bush II had an equal rating to Biden, and three presidents had a worse starting rating (Reagan, Bush I, Trump).
