How to unlock the TAQ-56 in MW2?
To unlock TAQ-56 in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, players need to reach level 19, which shouldn’t take too long, especially if you have some double XP tokens.
Thanks to the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 update, players can also challenge the Shooting House in multiplayer to level up quickly and efficiently.

We built this TAQ-56 loadout due to Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah’s long range vision and open area. The 17.5″ Tundra Pro barrel provides much-needed damage range, projectile velocity and hip-fire accuracy for those close-quarters accidental engagements.
The RF Crown 50 muzzle allows players to lock down their shots by reducing horizontal and vertical recoil at the expense of maneuverability. This paired with the Luca Bandera Scope is essential for these remote operations in Al Mazrah.
Last but not least, we have a 60-round magazine that lets you take out multiple enemies at once, and Tactique Brute Stock for added recoil control and aiming stability.
Perks & Equipment

- Lethal Equipment: Drill Charge
- Tactical Equipment: Flash Grenade
For the Perk pack, we chose the Specter pack, which includes Double Time, Tracker, Spotter, and Ghost. With these advantages, you can effectively track enemies, maintain mobility, and evade enemy UAVs.
In terms of equipment, we settled on Flash Grenade and Drill Charge to take out enemies in cover.
Other alternatives to the TAQ-56 in MW2
The TAQ-56 is an excellent long-range assault rifle, so the M4 is a great replacement for this weapon, better suited to mid-range combat but still capable of long-range strikes.
