I’m a bit of sushi snob since I hail of Seattle, Wa. If any of you have ever had seafood in Seattle then you exactly what I’m talking about. The Seafood in Seattle is unmatched when it comes to freshness, selection, and taste. I started eating sushi when I was in high school and I haven’t looked back. It’s one of my go- to-meals. I’ve had some of the best sushi in the world (or at least I think so), Nobu in NYC, Ozumo in San Francisco, Hawaii, and Asia. Last night I met up with one of my favorite friends for dinner. I had a hankering from some sushi and wasn’t sure where to go, since we were meeting up in the East Bay. I checked out Yelp and found Amakara in Dublin, CA. The reviews were great and I thought I would give it a chance. Boy, was my mouth and tummy happy with my decision. The sushi was AH-mazing! The fish was so fresh. It tasted like it was just caught and fillet 10 minutes prior to serving it. My favorite was the Poke Salad and the Salmon Nigiri but I loved EVERYTHING I ordered. The Poke salad has Tuna, seaweed salad, cucumber, red onion, furikake, sesame oil & quail egg yolk. It’s insanely delicious! I’m still dreaming about the Poke Salad. YUM! Double YUM!
