Best Cuppa in London #16

By Lwblog @londonwalks

Isobel adds her voice to our Best Tea and Coffee in London series…
"At the end of my walk this Saturday – A Railway Runs Through It, meeting at 10.45a.m exit 2 Vauxhall tube – you will be well placed to enjoy a restorative cuppa at the unique Tea House Theatre.
The Tea House Theatre is situated in an old Victorian Public House that opened in 1886 on the site of the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
As well as a nice sit down and a cup of tea you can enjoy good food, theatre, film nights, a knitting club and even live music from time-to-time.
Here’s what they have to say for themselves on their website:

'We serve some of the best loose leaf teas available, proper sandwiches and homemade cakes. Our Teas have individual subtle flavours that would be overpowered by the instant, coarse hit of coffee, so we do not sell it.
We make our own marmalade and jams, all for sale by the jar and all our teas can be bought by the ounce.
We are trying to be different. We will not hurry you. We always have the daily papers, so please, relax and share in what we are trying to create. Come and find us, take a load off and have a cuppa.'"
