By Jakemontgomery @LTDOnlineStores

HGTV.com has recently featured the finalists for the 2015 NKBA’s (National Kitchen and Bath Association) People’s Pick competition. These bathrooms feature the most popular bathroom design trends from the past year. Trends such as fully enclosed glass showers, wood veneers, and stone countertops, either marble or granite, for vanities.

Modern Bathrooms: More Popular Than Ever

Other unique design trends blur the lines between the bathroom and other interior spaces, such as walk in closets and the bedroom. The appeal of modern floating vanities has not been overlooked, they are a popular choice in 2015 for interior designers. Tile patterns range from simple and minimal to textured and complex. Popular sink designs feature integrated ceramic sinks and glass vessel sinks.

Mood lighting has also become an attractive way to enhance a bathroom’s appeal. Single lever faucets with curved spouts are also a popular choice for 2015, especially for those with a modern aesthetic. Wall and mirror mounted controls for the vanity sink are also popular in modern bathrooms. Chrome is the most desirable finish for faucets because it gives sleek appearance. Large mirrors help create a feeling of space in small bathrooms.
