Beneath the Desert Floor ★ Part I - IV

Posted on the 21 October 2024 by Ripplemusic

This collection showcases the first four albums in Ripple's "Beneath the Desert Floor" series.

Part I - The Awesome Machine delivers the pure stoner rock experience, featuring thick, fuzz-heavy guitar riffs and pounding rhythms. The gritty, unpolished sound adds to its raw authenticity, creating an immersive dive into the desert's harsh and desolate landscape.

Part II - Glitter Wizard takes you on a wild journey through psychedelic rock, with strong influences from glam and stoner rock. The San Francisco-based band captures the spirit of 1970s rock, infusing it with a modern twist that feels both fresh and exhilarating.

Part III - White Witch Canyon continues the stoner rock tradition with heavy, sludgy guitars and a rhythm section that rumbles like distant thunder. With slow to mid-tempo grooves, the album allows each riff to deeply resonate. The production is raw yet clear, making the sound both massive and psychedelically stirring.

Part IV - Fireball Ministry features powerful, downtuned guitars delivering riff after riff, driven by a relentless rhythm section. "Their Rock is Not Our Rock" as a whole is a well-crafted album that showcases Fireball Ministry's ability to blend traditional heavy metal influences with stoner rock's characteristic fuzz and groove.

Must-haves for any serious stoner rock collection.
