Story: Behold My Heart starts when Margaret’s (Tomei) and Marcus’s (Plummer) lives are turned upside down. Her husband and his father Steven (Olyphant) is killed in a senseless act leading to them needing to figure out what is next for them. They look to start over, however, not everything is as easy as they first thought.

Margaret turns to alcohol, leaving Marcus to understand growing up without any support. He gets to make new friends, but his mother’s needs start to take over his own life.

Verdict on Behold My Heart

Behold My Heart is a drama following a mother and son dealing with the loss of a family member. It shows how difficult their lives suddenly become and how the road to recovery through grief isn’t going to be easy.

This movie is split into a couple of chapters that show the different stages of grief. It shows how difficult it can be to cope despite leading down a few unusual grieving processes. The performances are strong and the message is clear. It makes it clear that what is most important is staying together through the grieving process.

Final Thoughts Behold My Heart is a powerful movie exploring grief.
