Behind-the-Scenes: Ubisoft Travels to Nepal to Create Far Cry 4′s Kyrat

“The team traveled to Nepal with VICE to draw inspiration and create authentic Kyratic characters and environments native to the region. Far from the tourist trail, they encounter people whose stories can help an outsider better experience the fabric of life there, both culturally and politically,” Ubisoft’s Francois Xavier wrote on a PlayStation blog post.

As you can see in the videos, it takes more than just months of computer animations and coding to make a triple-A video game. The Ubisoft team seems to have done a great deal of research to make this game as authentic as possible. Have a look.

Far Cry 4 will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on November 18.
