Beetroot Carrot Soup for Babies and Kids

Hi, how is monsoon treating you ? For me monsoon brings in hearty warm soups, finger chips and a warm cup of black coffee. This time Anshika is fed a lot many variety of soups since she has cold and cough. She started rejecting almost everything fed and is in the mood for only soupy-liquid consistency. No worries . Let her eat what she wants to have; I decided. So thought of making wholesome nutritious soups for her which she will have without any fuss. Yes this one is beetroot carrot soup for babies.

Carrots are rich in beta carotene , Vitamin A and other minerals. It is an excellent laxative too. Beetroot on the other hand is a good source of iron, folate and manganese.

BEETROOT CARROT SOUP FOR BABIES

Simple and yummy beetroot carrot soup can be made in a jiffy. Wash and clean the veggies , steam or pressure cook it , blend it , add ghee , salt and bingo the deep reddish-orange bowl of wholesomeness is good to go

Beetroot - 1 or half of one
Carrot - 1
Water - ½ cup
Ghee or butter - 1 tsp.
Salt - a pinch (optional)

Instructions

Wash and peel carrot and beetroot
Pressure cook or steam carrot and beetroot until cooked
Once cooled , blend to a soupy consistency
Add ghee , salt and serve warm
