When you’re operating with a limited lens kit, in this case a 17mm-55mm zoom, your body is often the thing that gets moved the most as you try to frame a good shot of a large structure. Fall storm clouds were starting to roll in for an evening shower which added to the backdrop.
The Basilica of St. Therese of Lisieux was built between 1929 and 1954 and was dedicated to the newly canonized St. Therese of Lisieux. Lisieux is a large town and functions as the capital of the Pays d’Auge region of the Calvados region of Normandie. It’s surrounded by some of Normandie’s best known cidreries: E. Dupont, C. Drouin, and Pere Jules amongst others.
