Beauty Review // Facial Cleansing ::: Konjac Sponge

By Chineze @uhmayzinginez

Have you heard about the squishy Japanese facial Konjac Sponges that is made of porous root vegetable known as the Konjac plant? I recently added it to my facial cleansing regimen. I've been using this facial cleansing brush for night and now I use Konjac sponges for morning.
How I Use the Konjac Sponge
1. I apply some cleanser to my face
2. I soak the Konjac sponge in water. You have to soak it in water before use because it dries hard as rock.
3. I work the cleanser into a lather using the Konjac sponge
4. I rinse off my face and sponge, then I squeeze the sponge in between a towel to get the moisture out of it so that it dries well and prevent mold build up.
What I Love about Konjac Sponges
Whilst the brush I use for night isn't exfoliating, this Konjac sponge is exfoliating and yet gentle enough for daily use. This helps unclog pores and slough off dry flakes that make facial skin dull.
What I dislike about Konjac Sponges
The charcoal content in the sponges that have charcoal (the black Konjac sponges) does not fight my periodic pimples. :-(
