Beauty | My Autumn Pamper Evening

By Megan Lillie @meganjanelillie
- This post is sponsored by H&A -These cold, dark Autumn evenings make me feel less guilty for staying in. Because in October, you can have three pamper evenings a week, right?
I'll often come straight in from work and just lay down on my bed for ten minutes, to give my mind a few moments of rest from the day that's just occurred. I always feel like I need this time before I can get on with my evening, it's a sort of transition from work mode to chill mode that I need to function properly. I always tell my Mam to not ask me anything until I'm ready because who want's to answer questions when they've just come in from work? NOT ME! Then it's hair up and bra off, two essential things that also must happen for me to chill. I always say that once the bra and brows are gone, that's me done for the day!
I'll then head to the bathroom and turn that tap on to run myself a bath. I'm going to admit, I'm not often a bath person but when I need to unwind, I'll always treat myself to a more-than-average bath - it's never just a tub full of water! Recently I've been reaching for some of my Happy Jackson Bath Soaks by H&A. There's nothing I love more than a tub full to the brim of bubbles, so many in fact that you can only see your little head popping out - that's the dream! These beauties are exclusive to Sainsbury's and retail at only £3 which means your getting so much bang for your buck as these 100ml bottles are huge, bound to see you through about fifteen baths!
I'll pop myself a face mask on whilst my bath is running and recently I've been reaching for the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask. I've blogged about this previously (read that here!) and it is an all time favourite, leaving my skin feeling super soft. I'll prop my phone up on the side (yes, I too, like to live dangerously) and put on some YouTube videos to relax to. After a fifteen minute-or-so soak, I'll dress myself up all glamorous in my cosy pajamas and sit in front of the TV with a Whittard's Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and scroll through Netflix for a total cheesy feel good film to watch and that's me sorted for the rest of the evening. Yesterday I decided on Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging because WHY IS THIS FILM SO CHEESY AND SO GOOD?!
I never really do any beauty pampering, such as hair masks, nails, exfoliating etc because EFFORT? My pamper nights are total chill downtime. I'm making sure I'm having them more often too. What does your autumn pamper evening look like?
