Beautiful florals in pastel colours with lush greenery by Bosonis Flowers Events Gardening set the scene for this wedding in Kefalonia! Katie and Stefan exchanged their vows in front of an impressive floral arch, surrounded by natural beauty of this Greek island that we are swept off our feet! The same pretty greeneries are combined with romantic candles and gold minimal details for their wedding reception where the wedding guests were entertained to the fullest by wedding DJ Makis Klonis. We must say that their destination wedding in Kefalonia was planned beautifully by Kefalonia Weddings and Vicky Bekiaridou captured in such a lovely way all the endlessly beautiful moments.

“We got married in summer in Kefalonia island. We first met each other at school, however we never really got to know each other. We then met many years later on a night out and since then, the rest is history! He proposed on Christmas Day, with all of our family, after a hard year of getting through the Covid lockdowns. After all the presents were opened, he told me he had one more present to give to me, he gave a me a box in the shape of a necklace, on opening this a smaller ring box was inside, as I looked up he was down on one knee asking me to marry him”, Katie shared with us.
“The dress was ivory and covered in beautiful beads and sparkles. The shape was fitted at the body, and then flowed out at the bottom. The back was very low cut. The dress was complete with a long fastening of buttons”.
“For our wedding in Kefalonia we went for a very natural theme, so lots of greenery, to allow for the beauty of the destination to shine through. The flowers I chose in my bouquet were pink and white roses, with lots of green foliage including plenty of eucalyptus. We loved most that it was kept very natural, and chic. We loved that it just matched perfectly with not only the ceremony but also matched in with the beautiful Surroundings of the villa where we had our reception”.
“My favorite moment was walking down the aisle alongside my father, whilst the mandolin player played behind us, and looking up and seeing my groom happiness, along with all the guests looking at me with massive smiles on their faces”.
“Chic and Stylish Weddings helped me all throughout. I was looking at different photos for inspiration and sending them over to my wedding planner as an idea of how I wanted my day to look!”
Bride’s advice: “Never worry about what other people are going to think about bits of your wedding! You plan your wedding for you and your partner, as long as you are both happy, then that is all that matters! The day is about each other only!”
