Seattle act Beat Connection are a saucy bunch. Their debut album The Palace Garden was a fresh mix of spring dance tunes, giving a cheeky nod to the world music clan all the while. Their track Saola featured in the very first post I ever did on this here blog, and the single Palace Garden, 4am reared its head shortly after.
While they’re prepping a new album for early next year, the latest effort Another Go Round popped up on the interwebs yesterday and it’s a tasty injection of dance rock, suitable to the back side of any work week. It’s got that world music stuff I was talking about, incorporating sitar and tabla into the musical frying pan, while showing a confident step towards an album that will be so much more than just, “classic Beat Connection“.
