I started with the cheapest I could find which were these sainsburys own brand of 'Medium Vented Rollers' I went for medium because the smaller the roller the tighter the curl and that wasn't the look I wanted, and the big ones looked huge especially as my hair is so thin!
It took me a few attempts to get these too work, but they did eventually. I didn't follow the instructions, maybe I should have, but i'd previously googled how to use non-heated rollers and just did it from how I'd read.
After I got out of the shower I brushed my hair through added my Tresemme Split End Serum through my hair (See Blog Archive For A Review) and then seperate my hair into bits, as there was only 6 I split my hair into top layer and bottom layer and did 2 at the back on the bottom layer one at each side on the bottom layer then one on each side of the top layer and didn't do my fringe. I kept it close to the ends didn't curl to high up and secured them with curvy grips which was a bit of a pain! I then blow dryed my hair (low heat) with them in giving them a bit of encouragement. About a half hour later, my hair was nearly dry so took the rollers out, The curls were very very loose and needed ALOT of hair spray to stay in place, but they were wavy curls maybe not as wavy as I liked (first I didn't want them to curly now they're not curly enough!)
Price: 4/5
Time: 2/5 (Would be okay if have a long time to get ready)
Effectiveness: 2/5 (1 Point for not damaging my hair, 1 for being easy to use)
But overall they aren't bad for what you pay!
