Are you ready to see some breezy beach style decor? I grew up close to a beach and we would walk down there every once a while to watch the sunset. And, this style is something I've introduced in small doses in my own home, and we totally love it. It's the nautical elements and the coastal looking color schemes that make a room feel like being close to an ocean-front. I feel these spaces have similarities with a cottage style space. Don't you think so?
Along with a few stunning photographs, I have a few tips to create such a living space. This room should immediately set the mood to relax, unwind and remind one of the sun, sea, and the sand. It has to be airy, warm, comfortable, quaint and cozy all at the same time. The navy blues, corals, yellows, and crisp whites are a distinct part of this room. They have to be around windows or patios where there is plenty of sunlight. Natural wood, rattan furniture, green plants like ferns and shells are a huge part of this decor. I also feel the settings are close looped to create the extra coziness. They are also bold enough to bring the nautical elements out, but nothing is too flashy. Do you agree with me? Aren't they so peaceful?! I can almost feel the sea breeze whipping through them!
