This blog post is going to show you the step by step instruction to make your very own Raspberry Zinger Bath Fizzes.
Unlike the typical bath fizzy, this recipe does not require a mold. Instead, you will be using a piece of wax paper to achieve the shape.
Another unique aspect to this recipe is the addition of shredded goats milk melt and pour soap. In order for your raspberry zinger bath fizzy to truly have the appeal of the real tasty treat, the shredded soap is used to resemble coconut shavings.
Before we get started, there is another key point that should be noted. For this specific recipe, timing is everything. Through the creative teams various testing of this recipe, we were able to pinpoint an exact time line. We found that if the roll does not sit wrapped long enough, the layers do not adhere to themselves. After unwrapping the roll, you must allow it to be exposed to the air to harden slightly before slicing. By slicing the roll too early, you will have bath fizzy slices that are prone to deep cracks and crumbly edges. But, don’t worry, the exact timeline will be explained in the steps.
So, now that you have a little background on this project; let’s get started!
All of the ingredients listed below can be found at Natures Garden:

You will also need the following supplies:
Scale
Cheese Grater
Wax Paper
Distilled Water
Mixing Bowls (3)
Spatula
Disposable Plate
So now that you have everything that you need, here are the steps:
Step 1: Place your work gloves on. Then, weigh out 55 grams of Goats Milk Melt and Pour Soap. Take the soap chunks and finely grate them using a cheese grater. Once all of the soap has been grated, place it on a disposable plate and set aside.
Step 2: Next, in one of your mixing bowls, weigh out and place the 300 grams of baking soda, 70 grams of arrowroot powder, and 32 grams of dead sea salt. It this mixture, weigh out and add the 42 grams of coconut oil 76. You want the coconut oil 76 to be at room temperature form. Now, using your hands start to combine the mixture. As you work the coconut oil among the dry ingredients, make sure to break up any chunks. Keep combining until the mixture is very similar to a cookie dough or play dough, soft yet stays together. Set aside.
Step 3: In one of your other mixing bowls, weigh out and place the 23 grams of distilled water and 2 grams of Raspberry Zinger fragrance oil. Then, using a spatula, drizzle these wet ingredients over your other mixture.
Step 4: With your hands, begin folding the mixture together. Once incorporated, weigh out and add the 150 grams of citric acid. As you are mixing this in, break up any clumps. Once again work the mixture until you have a cookie dough or play dough consistency.
Step 5: Breaking the Mixture Up: In another mixing bowl, weigh out and place 95 grams of the bath fizzy mix. To the emptied wet ingredients bowl, weigh out and add 200 grams of the bath fizzy mixture. To this bowl, add 3 drops of Fun Soap Colorant Yellow Oxide. Mix well to incorporate. Once evenly colored, form the fizzy mixture into a ball. In the remaining bowl, weigh out and place 1 gram of Fun Soap Colorant Tomato Red and 3 drops Fun Soap Colorant Deep Purple. Once again using your hands incorporate. When uniformly colored, form another ball with the mixture.
Step 6: Next, lay out a piece of wax paper. Starting with the pink ball, flatten the mixture out into a rectangular shape. Then, repeat the same action with the yellow ball. Once the yellow fizzy mixture is flattened, carefully place the yellow layer on top of the pink one. Finally, take the white fizzy mixture and sprinkle it through the center of the yellow layer.
Step 7: For this step, you will be using the wax paper to roll the bath fizzy together. As you are rolling the mixture, remember to keep removing the wax paper away from the mixture so it does not get wrapped into your bath fizzy. Once you have the pink layer completely around the outside of the mixture, continue rolling to seal the fizzy mixture within the wax paper. Allow this to set for 10 minutes.
Step 8: After the bath fizzy has set for 10 minutes, carefully open the wax paper. Next, with part of the wax paper laying out flat, sprinkle the grated soap onto the wax paper. Once again in the same manner, roll the bath mixture making sure to move the wax paper as the mixture rolls. This will allow the bath fizzy to adhere to the soap. Continue rolling until the mixture is completely sealed in the wax paper again. Allow to set for another 30 minutes.
Step 9: After 30 minutes, completely remove the bath fizzy from the wax paper. Allow the fizzy to be exposed to the air for at least 1 hour now.
Step 10: Finally, use a knife to cut the slices. Further allow the fizzies to harden and dry overnight.
That is it, your Raspberry Zinger Bath Fizzies are now ready to use.
