Basia Bulat has shared new single ‘Your Girl’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Are You in Love?’ on 27 March via Secret City Records. Her first new material since 2016’s phenomenal ‘Good Advice’ album, the new record finds Basia once again teaming up with My Morning Jacket’s Jim James.

‘Your Girl’ was written during a snowstorm in Montreal and recorded in the desert sun in Joshua Tree and finds Basia moving on from a painful situation and looking ahead. It finds her dancing with the painful memories as you push forward with your life. Basia sings about ‘broken glass’, ‘broken hearts’ and ‘broken promises’ as she remembers falling in and out of love over Mavis Staples-esque melodies and bursts of slide guitar and delicate stabs on the piano. She then reaffirms how she’ll never forget this experience with energy and vigour.
