Mike & Claire Got Married!
What an absolutely fantastic day we had photographing Mike & Claire’s wedding at Barmbyfield Barn.
We have had such tremendous luck with weather at our weddings this year and Mike & Claire’s was no exception – it was sunshine and pleasant temperatures all day long which was perfect for space-hoppers, hula-hoops and general outdoor shenanigans.
I started in the morning with Claire at her parent’s house along with all her bridesmaids and family. The girls had such a chilled out morning and when they weren’t smiling they were laughing uncontrollably. Just my kind of morning! Matt was with the fellas at Mike’s house where they departed for the ceremony at St. Oswald’s church in York.
Claire arrived for the ceremony in the most gorgeous blue mustang convertible (now THAT is how you travel in style) and later when we arrived at Barmbyfield Barn, we had to get a few awesome photographs showcasing that sexy car.
Claire & Mike’s styling has been some of my absolute favorite this year. From the little scarecrow people (wearing an actual wedding dress!) to the flowers provided by Mike’s mom to the sawed log centerpieces provided by Claire’s dad – there were so many little personal touches. You really got the feeling that everyone pitched in to make the perfect garden explosion!
We got the most gorgeous sunset in the evening and it was so awesome to see Mike pick up Claire and carry her through the barley fields. Isn’t that what everyone wants? Your hero to pick you up and carry you into the sunset?
