For your information, let us tell you that recently McAfee has conducted a survey named The Artificial Imposter with 7,054 people. This survey was done in seven countries including India. It was told in this survey that 67 percent of Indians are unable to understand the difference between the voice of a real person and the voice created by AI.

Such scams can be very costly. 48 per cent of Indians who have lost their money say they have lost more than Rs 50,000.

  • Do not share information like your account details and debit card PIN on any phone call coming from the bank’s side.
  • Do not give remote access to your phone to any unknown call. It can empty your bank account by accessing your personal data.
  • Identify your caller first when you receive a call. Ask them such questions, based on which you can understand whether it is a fake call or real.
  • Many links are given in the message coming from the unknown number on the phone. You are told that clicking on them will fetch you rewards. However, this does not happen. For this reason, never click on such a link.
  • Many times such calls also come on your phone, which ask you to share OTP. Do not share the OTP received on your phone with anyone by mistake.
  • By keeping these things in mind, you can avoid fraud through phone calls.
