They have certainly been doing their part to support musicians during this pandemic. A statement from Bandcamp:
A few Fridays ago, we waived our revenue share to help musicians impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Bandcamp community (very possibly including you!) went above and beyond, paying $4.3 million to artists and labels in just 24 hours. It was an inspiring day, and we heard many requests to do it again, so we're going to do exactly that.
This Friday, May 1, we're once again waiving our revenue share for all sales on Bandcamp, from midnight to midnight PDT.If you're fortunate enough to be in a position to spare some funds, please join us in providing some much-needed support to the many amazing artists on Bandcamp.

Mohamed Assani - Wayfinder
Wayfinder is an act of gathering and discovery. It is the story of a musician-explorer who has journeyed the world and now has come home to empty his pockets and share his treasures.
Contemporary Polynesians refer to Wayfinders as the 'astronauts of our ancestors'. These navigators found their way by watching celestial bodies, listening to winds, feeling the swell of waves slapping on the hull of the canoe. They tried to be like birds, because birds always have a relation with the edges of the horizon.
Musical traveller Mohamed Assani takes his sitar in a completely new and unexpected direction- bringing together unforeseen musical worlds in an original album that relentlessly pushes at the frontiers of cultural and musical hybridity. Using a refreshing, contemporary sound palette, Wayfinder incorporates a range of stylistic influences, including Indian/Pakistani Classical, Middle Eastern music, jazz, funk, Western harmony, ambient & electronic music and more. Both acoustic and electronic, it features sitar, tabla, mridangam, kanjira, mbira, voice and electronic sounds. It has been produced by Emmy and Juno-nominated music producer, Adham Shaikh.
This album of original music was created over many nights, between midnight and 5am, in the middle of the rainforest in the Kootenay Mountains of B.C., Canada. There were bears and cougars and other wildlife always close by and that wild atmosphere is captured in the music.
Chris Ianuzzi - Olga in a Black Hole
With a career full of boundary-breaking accolades and a series of solo releases through his I, Synthesist project, Chris Ianuzzi returns with a brand new direction on confounding new 3-song EP Olga in a Black Hole, the first taste of new music to be featured on his upcoming full-length album Planetaria.
Todd Warner Moore - Overnight Flight
With new album Overnight Flight, acoustic folk singer songwriter and modern poet Todd Warner Moore happily shares his abundance of creative inspiration with us. This album marks Todd's 6th full-length release since 2018. Far from rushed creations, each album is richly detailed, complimenting and expanding on its predecessors with heightened wisdom, musical exploration and lyrical vision.
Overnight Flight covers a kaleidoscopic range of deep human emotion expressed through seven sung tracks and two elegant instrumentals. Just as the capacity for joy, meditative thought and connectedness have increased, so too do observations of our current zeitgeist and the challenges of the world we're living in.
Jeads - Under The Veneer
Bellingham-based ambient electronic solo artist Jeads finds profound beauty in unlikely places. For example, his new Under the Veneer album's main instrument is an old rusty music box.
About the album:
A rusty old music box sings its songs, wrapped in a blanket of snow covered trees, frozen in time.
Under the Veneer started with a giant snow storm in Bellingham, Washington, in March of 2019. I had just finished recording Nocturnal Signal and wanted to dig deeper into using sounds from field recordings and making my own sample based instruments. The snow storm inspired many field recording sessions which ended in the construction of a set of sample-based percussive instruments. I went on many hikes in the snow-covered forests around my house, capturing environmental sounds with my field recorder: fresh snow falling off ferns, snow balls pounding on frozen steel doors, footsteps crunching, fallen tree limbs snapping in the ice cold air, icicles breaking. This set the backdrop for the album; all of the samples have a kind of frozen crispness to them, frozen soundscapes from the forest.
The main instrument on the album is an old rusty music box. It has a rich harmonic resonant sound but it's also broken and vulnerable. It's attached to a painting I've had for many years, one that has moved around with me many times. It has hung on the walls in both broken and loving homes and has become a symbol of how important having a peaceful place to call home really is. The painting and the music box represents a complex sense of home for me. A lot of the themes on this album were inspired by that concept; scratch a bit of veneer off the surface and you can often find something twisted and complicated underneath.
Post Death Soundtrack - It Will Come Out Of Nowhere

Zilla With Her Eyes Shut - Self-Titled
We're very pleased to introduce UK Avant Pop artist Zilla With Her Eyes Shut and her new full-length album Zilla With Her Eyes Shut via Accidental Records. Zilla is a classical pianist turned pop surrealist whose music coaxes the subconscious to come out and play.
Elder - Omens
In the last dozen years, Elder has stepped out of the shadows of their peers in the heavy rock underground to emerge a unique voice, delivering album after album of almost unparalleled consistency and creativity. Omens, the band's fifth full-length record, is the newest pillar in the construction of their own musical universe. With it, Elder further embrace experimentation in their brand of progressive psychedelic rock in which atmosphere, melody and structure are created and transformed again and again.
Windhand - Eternal Return
Eternal Return, the fourth full length from Richmond, Virginia's heavy psychedelic quartet WINDHAND represents a new era for the group, a chrysalis moment that takes them to new and unforeseen heights. Across nine songs and 63 minutes, Eternal Return is an infectious display of songcraft cloaked in alluring atmosphere, molten fuzz, eerie psychedelia and ethereal vocals. The album was once again produced by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden) with vivid artwork by Arik Roper (Sleep, High on Fire). Equally informed by heavy, fuzzed-out psych along with the iconic grunge / alternative groups of the 90s, WINDHAND have crafted a record brilliant in scope, powerful in execution, and perfect for an era of increasingly blurry yet still heavy borders.
Joan Torres's All Is Fused - Rebellion
Bassist, composer, producer Joan Torres has lead the Jazz Fusion ensemble All Is Fused since 2011. The ensemble has been described as going "far beyond complex musical ideas managing to weave in a true sonic narrative" in their music (Music News 2016). Throughout several releases they have appealed to genre and non-genre fans alike.
Ivan Beecroft - The Cynical Express
Introducing Melbourne-based rock devotee and straight-laced storyteller Ivan Beecroft and his new electrified full-length album "The Cynical Express", due for release June 18, 2020 independently. "The Cynical Express" provides a musical reset: it reeks of non-conformity; it pulls no punches; it gives no apologies. This album is best described as "a continuation of one artist's struggle to not be swept away by the strong currents of cultural mediocrity, but instead to provide honest, audacious music that tells it how it is."
Stephanie Catlett - Meet Me In The Dream
We're very pleased to introduce Iowa-based Singer Songwriter Stephanie Catlett, whose new Meet Me In the Dream EP showcases her knack for beautiful melancholy and storytelling with a sense of subtlety. For a snapshot of Stepanie's philosophy, listen to our recommended track Nothing But Fine.
Putting out this album was an act of courage for me. After a career as a marketing writer promoting others' work, "Meet Me In the Dream" is the first project that I have created out of myself, completely from my own experiences and impressions. While the dream world of the album is one of false starts, missed chances and loss, there remains a core of resilience and persistence that hopefully won't be overlooked by the listener.
Mother Yeti - My Best Please
Mother Yeti is an experimental rock band from a town called Moscow. A strange little home nestled in the pines of northern Idaho. Mother Yeti is comprised of two young men, Bill Tracy and Zack Degler. Together they strive to provide your ears with something different, often blending genres and experimenting with different styles. To please the heart of the Yeti, one can never be put in a box.
