Baking With Spirit: The January Challenge

By Cakeoftheweek @cakeoftheweek

Happy new year! I hope you all had a brilliant 2013 and that it was seen out with a suitable bang (be that asleep as the clock stikes twelve or so giddy with excitement that you miss midnight altogether).
I know that January is not everyone's favorite month (note the gray logo to symbolise your misery), partly because there is nothing to look forward to and partly because you spent so much on celebrating Christmas and the new year. You're probably not feeling all that brilliant, either. To help you feel a little bit better, this challenge is reasonably easy.
This month I'm asking you to be frugal with your boozy baking. You could be using up old supplies or scooping up a bargain in the supermarket; whatever your definition of frugal, use it to bake something using alcohol as the ingredient. Email me a link to your post, then wait until the end of the month for a round-up of the entries.
Good luck!
If you're looking for a round-up for December's challenge, there isn't one because there was only one entry. That's ok - you were all very busy being important etc etc - and you can make it up to me this month!
Here are the rules:
  1. Bake or cook something using alcohol that has been acquired in a frugal manner.
  2. Write a post about it on your blog, link back to Cake Of The Week mention Baking With Spirit.
  3. Email the link to me at cakeoftheweek@hotmail.co.uk and include your name, your blog and the photo you want me to use in the round-up. If you tweet me @CakeOfTheWeek and/or use #bakingwithspirit I will endeavour to retweet!
  4. The deadline is midnight on the 28th January.
