Last September the popular search engine giant in China, Baidu reported was to develop a platform for cloud-based smartphone. This platform is called Baidu Yi, which means easy. Similar to Bing in Mango integration, OS is emphasized in the search. Smartphones running Yi will immediately be able to run searches just a few seconds after the phone is turned on. Not only that, this system also offers cloud-based storage space of 180GB. This platform is essential to use Android, the difference is replacing Google search service Baidu. Baidu announced today that they are working with Foxconn to use the smartphone OS Yi into their own. The smartphone will have a 3.5 inch touch screen, 1400 mAh battery, high bermegapiksel camera, and priced at 1000 yuan (U.S. $ 1.45 million). Baidu did not say when this smartphone will be released, but it seems the end of this year.
