This blog is called The Little Backpacker after all, so it would be wrong if I wasn’t at least a little obsessed with backpacks. I use a backpack as my everyday bag, handbag, uni bag and goodness knows what else bag. I own a fair amount and still have the original ones I bought for my first trip back in 2010! Since those days though, bags have come on in leaps and bounds with style becoming one of the main priorities about at backpack. I know for me color and fit are particularly important especially given my little size. A few of the backpacks on this list are only available state side or rather pricey, hence why I’m lusting after them not owning them. But still a girl can dream, especially about bags…
Backpacks I’m lusting after
Osprey – 24/7 and Kyte Series
The best two things about these bags except for the color options are that they are available in the UK and specially designed for women (they have a mens one too) meaning the fit will be much better for a little one like me. These bags would be useful for hiking or just as a normal day bag and come in different sizes too. They are one of the most versatile bags and not too pricey.
Herschel – Little America Backpack
Sadly these guys don’t deliver to the UK but you can purchase a small range of their products (more than just backpacks) in Urban Outfitters or online at ASOS. This company has the design and color at the front of everything they do. I can’t say I’ve ever found a bag I don’t like made by them. Typically the ones I always fall head over heels in love with don’t make it as far as the UK stockists.
Topo Designs – Rover Pack Rucksack
Another US based company who make amazingly designed and brightly coloured backpacks. Their core ‘in to the wild’ feel has inspired their packs to be as useful as possible with small easily accessible pockets for those things you need all the time. These guys do ship internationally but it won’t be a cheap process, for now I’ll stay dreaming about these gorgeous bags.
Leyyabags – World Map Backpack on Etsy
As a travel fanatic there is one thing I am obsessed with over everything else: maps. A bag which is decorated using maps has to be my dream. These guys not only do backpacks but also a wide range of handbags with various map designs. Handmade in Turkey but luckily they ship to the UK for a not too expensive fee.
Cath Kidson Backpacks
And because sometimes every girl likes to feel a little feminine and own a bag doesn’t just feel nice to wear but has a pretty pattern. I have loved Cath Kidson backpacks for as long as I can remember but they changed the style a few years ago and it has taken a bit of getting used too. Possible the cheapest bag in this list but still I’ve always deemed it too expensive to buy! As you can see from the below image they do more than just backpacks, I have several little things from these guys which are handy for travelling
