Story: Back to the Wharf starts when a top student Song Hao learns he hasn’t been granted a spot in the next stage of his education. His distraught father looks to investigate who took his place, only to learn it was one of his best friends Li Tang. After Song Hao finds himself in the wrong place and at the wrong time, he wounds a man. This forces him into going into hiding for 15 years.

15-years later Song Hao returns home for the first time. It doesn’t take long before he reconnects with Li Tang and a young woman from his past Pan Xiaoshuang. However, his time back starts to come at a price, Song Hao learns why people have asked him to return.

Back to the Wharf is a drama that follows a young man who returns after living in hiding. He is looking to restart the life he left behind and finds a lot more than he was prepared for. This sees a series of events that could have seen the young man live a completely different life.

The movie here is one that shows us what happens with lost time. It shows us how the effects of an accident can cause damage to people who will never be the same. Everything is shown to see how much Song Hao’s life changed from the one incident and how even while trying to change things, his life will never be the same. It plays out powerfully, showing the pain the young man lived with for all these years.
