You’re welcome to join us! The challenge runs until September 30 so there’s still lots of time to participate.
We had two book reviews last week.
There are layers and layers of stories around magic and magicians. Some of these stories are…not true.
French Twist by Catherine Crawford at Melos bookshelf:
The book is full of charming stories about her family and her darling little girls. I am pretty sure that I enjoyed every single page of this book.
Chat Tonight!
We’re meeting tonight on Twitter at 9 Eastern Time (8 Central, 7 Mountain, 6 Pacific). We’ll be using the hashtag #WSChat. WS stands for Wordsmith Studio, a group of writers learning together on the internet. They have graciously allowed us to take over a normal time slot that they use for book discussions to talk about what we’re reading for the Back to School Reading Challenge. Writing books may make an appearance in the discussion.
My Update
I finished my test-drive of one of the rules in Julia Child Rules by Karen Karbo. I posted almost every day of that week. I listed the posts in order on Monday: The American Library in Paris.
I’m enjoying our Read Along book, How Children Succeed by Paul Tough, more than I thought I might. I’ll write more about that in a separate post so anyone who is reading it can join the discussion.
Your Update
What are you reading and learning right now? Link up reviews and update posts below so we can all visit. Or, discuss in the comments.
