On the other hand Solar Car is back up and running! We have our first work day this Saturday and best of all the Business team will be joining the Engineering teams to help out with various things around the shop and also to allow everyone to get to know each other a little better.
On the electrical side of things Jeff has been up to his usual shenanigans and somehow successfully built an IV tracer in three days (see picture below). After getting it running really good the plan is to test out a number of cells and then send them off to one of our sponsors Day4Energy to verify the results on their professional tester.
Me on the other hand finished up the PCB layout for the first revision of the UC Solar MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker). Its looking really good and if it works out the way I hope it will, it should replace our current MPPT's which are severely limited by the input/output voltages they can do.
See Ya!
