Pinkfong’s intellectual property will make its debut as a blockchain-based game on Tokenz’s soon-to-be-released NFT platform, joining Boat Rocker and Mattel.
South Korea’s Pinkfong Company has signed a licensing deal so that its most famous intellectual property, Baby Shark, can be used on Tokenz Collectibles, an upcoming platform that turns NFTs into games.
Toekenz will make and release a blockchain baby shark game for kids ages 5 to 9. The branded characters will also be available as digital collectibles that kids can personalize and share with other players.
The Toekenz platform is made for kids under 12 and their families. It makes collecting, buying, and selling NFTs into a game for kids. It will come out in the first quarter of 2023 on the App Store and Google Play. It will have blockchain-based games that kids can play to earn digital tokens that only they can use. The platform will also have resources for learning about Web 3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies, among other new technologies.
Baby Shark is the latest big kids’ brand to join Tokenz. It recently teamed up with Canada’s Boat Rocker Media to make NFTs based on its shows The Next Step and Daniel Spellbound. In October, Toekenz signed a deal with Mattel to franchise some of its brands, which was an even bigger win.
Since its main song, “Baby Shark,” came out in 2016, it has been watched over 11 billion times on YouTube and has been made into toys, animated shows, and movies. This is the second time the brand has used NFTs. Last year, Pinkfong worked with the digital art marketplace Makerplace to make a set of tokens with Baby Shark and his family, as well as animated pictures of the Baby Shark song.
