The Top Eight Golden Skateboards are sold by Azuki NFT Project
According to Azuki’s official Twitter account, the auction for eight unique tokens that can be exchanged for real Golden Skateboards is over. The winning bids were 200 ETH ($261,682.00) and 309 ETH ($404,297.69), respectively.
Even though they are only available in digital form right now, the skateboards are some of the most expensive ever sold. The most expensive skateboards ever sold are the “Blowin’ in the Wind Skateboard” by Jamie Thomas and Bob Dylan, which went for $38,425 at a charity auction in December 2012, and the “Beatles’ Blackbird Board” owned by Tony Hawk, which had handwritten song lyrics and Paul McCartney’s signature.
The official Azuki Twitter account told its more than 314,000 followers, “The Golden Skateboard is a marvel of art and technology that shows our first implementation of PBT. This marks the beginning of a new era of storytelling.” We sold the top eight most expensive skateboards ever, which broke the record for the most expensive one ever sold.
Azuki is a collection of 10,000 anime characters who are all facing sideways and showing a wide range of emotions and items. In March, a single Azuki NFT was sold for 420.7 ETH, which was worth about $1.4 million at the time.
