The Temecula region in particular is definitely an environment conducive to bachelorette parties and other rabble-rousing visitors which can hinder the experience for individuals who have a real interest in tasting & purchasing wine. Visiting boutique wineries does not guarantee that you will be free from this type of atmosphere but can increase your chances of a positive tasting experience.
1. Chapin Family Vineyards opened their tasting room doors in June of 2011 and is one of the few boutique wineries in the Temecula region. Owner/Vintner Steve Chapin produces meticulously farmed and maintained estate grown Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasting Hours are Friday-Sunday from 10am-4pm.
2. Hidden at the far end of Calle Contento off of Rancho California Road sits Vindemia Winery. With no real tasting room to speak of, visitors are rewarded with spectacular vineyard views in addition to limited production wine. Saturday & Sunday from 11am- 5pm
3. Although Lumiere Winery has been growing grapes in their vineyard for the past 30 years, the winery just recently began producing wine and offering wine tasting to the public. This boutique winery focuses on producing quality Bordeaux blends that can be sampled by appointment. Friday-Sunday 11am-6pm
