Please share some of the best memories of your childhood:
I lived in Hong Kong as a child and have many happy memories of growing up in one of the world’s top cities. One of my fondest memories is of riding elephants in Thailand. My family visited an elephant corral (I was six years old) and we spent the day there hanging out with the elephants and their trainers. It was breathtaking hanging out with such beautiful creatures.
About your education:
After graduating from college I went on to qualify as a registered nurse and later a midwife. I also have a degree in psychology which comes in handy as a writer.
What career did you plan during your education days?
I actually wanted to be a journalist but ended up moving to Cornwall aged 18 years-old and trained as an RN or RGN, as it was then. I have no regrets. I’m now following my dream of being a writer and all that experience of working with people and seeing the human condition unfold in all its complexities, being there for patients when they needed a kind word or someone to help them through a scary life challenge is very fulfilling. Being a nurse gave me the knowledge I needed to write Piper Day, my romantic comedy about a nurse working at a Hollywood studio. Authenticity is essential when creating art.
What is your biggest source of inspiration in life?
I find everything in life inspiring. I'm in awe of those people who dedicate their lives to charity. My family and friends are a great inspiration too!
What hurts you most in this world?
Cruelty to animals or children or anyone for that matter. I believe it clearly reflects back on the persecutor. Fear can be so dangerous.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced? How did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge was emigrating to the U.S. I left behind a country I loved along with my family. I overcame the challenge by immersing myself in American culture and truly falling in love with the country I now call home.
If you had to live a day of your life as one of the living or dead personality, who would it be and why?
Ha! Queen Elizabeth II. I know that her life is a mixture of privilege and service and I'd love to connect with her wisdom.
What is your favorite genre and why?
As you know I write in three different genres: Paranormal Romance, Erotic Romance, and Romantic Comedy. I love each of these genres and I’m passionate about each book as I write them, very often losing myself to the work. It’s a blissful, creative process.
When did you start writing? What is the purpose of your writing?
I started writing around 9 years-old. I'm actually addicted to writing and have to write every day or I start to feel antsy. Writing to me is as important as breathing. Writing is about expressing my creative side and feels very natural.
Which of your work published so far?
