Mick's life gets infinitely more complicated when he lands a high profile case, defending Louis Roulet, a rich young man charged with raping and beating a prostitute.
At first, Mick takes is like he would any other case: cynically trying to get his client off, regardless of whereas he is guilty or not... until he realizes there is something very familiar about this case, and that makes him take a closer look at his own conscience.
Alright, so I'm not a Mathew McCounaughey fan. I don't really find him attractive and I HATE whenever he's in a romantic comedy as he tends to ruins them. But I love when he goes for the dramatic parts.
He is a really good, underrated dramatic actor and I loved seeing him in action in the Lincoln Lawyer. The movie is fun and wonderfully uncomplicated - there is a bit of mystery but everything is pretty straight forward, which I appreciate. I had a really wonderful time watching this movie with my sister.
It has a nice, well paced post and solid performances - aside Mathew McCounaghey we have Marissa Tomei, Ryan Phillipe, Josh Lucas and William H. Macy among others - and it's just a nice, entertaining movie.
