An at-home coffee shop, beachside snaps and recent revelations. Amidst Brighton adventures, spending time with the best and sipping fresh coffee, I had the best weekend, this weekend. So I say that at least once a week every week, but I'm really enjoying the 'work hard, play hard, chill hard' mantra that I instated for 2014.
I packed up a weekend bag and ventured to Brighton on Friday for what I can hands on heart class as one of the best blogging events that I've been invited to. On The Beach.co.uk and the wonderful Epiphany team took a group of us to a VIP screening of Alpha Papa at Brighton's Big Screen, their open air cinema. We even got to meet Steve Coogan himself, chat and gossip between us, chow down on Meat Liquor and enjoy a beachfront cinema experience. I'm actually a huge fan of the sea and water stretches, so it was super quixotic to be there! We stayed overnight in a hotel, had a girly pamper night and it was truly one of the best starts to a weekend. More on that all later in the week though.
This Monday I also wanted to pen a few notes about one of my best friends, L. Weekends are the best with a best friend, and I've known him for simply forever - well, 7 years. One of my favorite things is just being able to be with someone and feel relaxed, refreshed and content in their company. Tea, anime, little life chats and the football. So perfect.
In between puppy sitting and baby sitting - 2 hours spent at a kiddie's playzone wiped me flat out! - yesterday, I need to extend a huge thank you to Dolce Gusto for my shiny new toy - The Pod coffee machine. You make my chilled weekends the best hours of the week. Nothing beats a cosy morning cuddled up with an American(o), my tablet and fresh bedsheets. I'm the ultimate cliche right now and I don't care.
Ultimate packed beyond packed weekend - done. Let's begin the countdown to the next!
