Asymmetree. Parametric + Laser Cut Clocks
All products by Asymmetree are inspired by nature, architecture and science. Designs and patterns are created through the use of parametric design. By generating computer simulations of various natural processes, different shapes evolve, with an infinite number of variations.

Giraffe Clock by Anja Verdonk
Have you ever taken a close look at the spots of a giraffe? Or a microscope image of a leaf? Or the pattern of a turtle shell? All these intricate patterns are made by nature but follow a quite simple mathematical formula. These patterns are called Voronoi. The Voronoi cells on this clock are laser cut. The side of the wood is black, resulting in beautiful depth and contrast that will remind you of the gentle long-necked giant it is named for.

Coral Branch Clock by Anja Verdonk
Is it coral? Or is it a tree branch? Natural growth processes have been an inspiration for the shape of this clock. At the place of every hour, there is a tiny bulb, indicating the time. The side of the wood is black, resulting in beautiful depth and contrast inspired by our reef building friends.

Honeycomb Clock Engraved by Anja Verdonk
This clock is inspired by a honeycomb and its innate geometric perfection. Towards the outside, the hexagonal cells dissolve and remain empty. The hours 12, 3, 6 and 9 are indicated by a small engraved hexagon and the side of the wood is black, resulting in beautiful depth and contrast to help it stand out in your home.

Bark Clock One by Anja Verdonk
This clock is made of seven layers of precisely cut and engraved wood which resemble the growth rings of a tree. Bark Clock One mounts flat to the wall so you can appreciate the natural inspiration. Just as various seasons can result in a variety of tree growth rings, the shapes on this clock have been finished by hand, making each one an individual.

About the Designer: Anja Verdonk
Asymmetree was founded in 2013 by Anja Verdonk. Anja graduated from Architecture at the Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands) in 2007. Since then, she has been working at several architecture offices. During her work as an architect, she discovered the amazing world of generative design. Apart from pursuing her architecture career, she decided to explore this type of designing further, in the direction of product-design. The current products by Asymmetree are a result of this adventure.
