Surprisingly enough, this “MeMO Pad” is not really a memo pad. It’s the latest tablet released by ASUS. The company is hoping enter the cheap tablet game with this $149-dollar 7-inch tablet. But I hardly doubt it to be a success.
Yes, this tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Although, don’t expect it to run very smoothly because it comes with just a basic 1GHz VIA VM8950 processor. Additionally, MeMO Pad features an 8GB of storage capacity, Mali-400 graphics processor and a low resolution of 1024×600 for the 7″ display. Surely that’s not enough to beat other great tablets in the market, is it?
ASUS is the maker of the Google’s cheap and powerful Nexus tablet as well. It’s a little surprising that they made this 7-inch tablet when ASUS already have a tablet in the market with their name on it, with much better specs and features. I mean, would you even consider buying this tablet when you could get a dual-core powered Kindle Fire with Wi-Fi and everything for just $159 dollars? I don’t think so.
