Our smart devices are getting thinner and thinner as they get smarter, aren’t they? Be it smartphones or laptops or even desktops. The trend is to make these devices lighter, while still adding to them as big a display as possible.
Very recently, ASUS launched a Notebook computer that also packs a lot in a thin frame and is smart enough to give the users the feel of a computer and a smartphone in one.
This brand new Notebook by ASUS is EeeBook X205. The highlights of EeeBook is that it’s light, has a big display, has Windows 8.1 and is priced at less than 15,000 INR.

Appearance: EeeBook X205 is an 11.6-inch notebook that weighs less than 1 kg. Despite its small and slim shape, it has a touchpad that’s 36% larger than similar sized notebooks. In fact, the touchpad of EeeBook is equal to those found on 14-inch notebook models by ASUS. EeeBook X205 also has a full-size, one-piece seamless chiclet keyboard, Being small and light-weight, EeeBook appears to be quite a handy and convenient device to carry around. Its slim shape and smooth curves give it a visually appealing appearance. As for colours, the EeeBook is available in black, white, gold, and red color options.
Abilities: EeeBook X205 is equipped with a quad-core Intel® Atom™processor. It boasts of having upto 12 hours of battery life and over 14 days of standby time. And to prevent loss of data, it can automatically backup data when the battery drops below 5%
The notebook is also equipped with a Connected Standby technology that adds to the device a smartphone-like experience by allowing it to resume instantly from sleep mode and keeping it connected to social networks even in a standby mode. That is, the device will receive messages, mails, social network updates even when the notebook is in a standby mode or the lid is closed.
ASUS EeeBook X205 comes installed with Windows 8.1 with Bing. One thing that the users would probably like the best about it is that it’s compatible with a wide range of software. The device can run various web-based and pre-installed software like MS Office, Skype, Photoshop etc.
EeeBook also has Smart Gesture technology which adds extra functionality to the touchpad enabling users to do more with less use of the mouse. EeeBook X205 is compatible with a wide range of USB. It allows printing through USB connection, wirelessly and also through the cloud.
