After getting a lot of complaints about bugs, and issues in Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ubisoft finally rolled out a patch for the game fixing these issues. But it seems like even this patch is full of bugs.
The recently released patch was actually a massive 6.7 gigabyte download, addressing a lot of in-game bugs including Frame rate drops, game crashes, lost progression, Navigation, lock picking chests and more. It was a relief for PS4 gamers, but not for Xbox One players.
Xbox One gamers have reported that the new patch is actually redownloading the entire 40GB game, instead of just updating with the 6.7 gigabyte patch.
“Unfortunately, an issue with the patch downloading process is replacing the entire game instead of just the parts affected by the patch,” Ubisoft wrote on a blog post. “We are working with Microsoft on a solution to reduce the total download to the intended size so that you can get back into the game faster, but as of now we have no ETA on when this will be resolved.”

If you have the disc, you can simply uninstall the entire game, then reinstall and update with 6.7 gigabyte patch to avoid the 40GB download. The patch for PC version is still on the way.
