Grade-IV (Class-IV)

Maximum Qualification: The maximum permissible educational qualification for Class IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having more than the maximum qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancies.
Grade III (Category I)Name of the Posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.

Qualification: Candidates who have passed Bachelor's Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6 months duration can apply online for these posts.

Qualification: Candidates should have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination. (For some specific posts, candidates need to have passed the 12th class from the Science stream.)

Qualification: Candidates should have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.

Other Criteria for Assam Direct Recruitment

Age Limit: The candidate's age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2022.
Age Relaxation: Category wise upper age relaxation is given below.
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC/MOBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 2 Years
  • PWD: 10 Years
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India. Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates have to register their name with any one of the Employment Exchanges in Assam. Relaxation in Computer Proficiency: Applicants having a Degree in Computer Science, i.e. BCA / MCA / B.Tech / B.E. and others need not submit a Computer Certificate/Diploma of a minimum 6 (six) months duration.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment

The Assam Direct Recruitment Commission (ADRC) announced Assam direct recruitment examination commission will conduct separate competitive examinations for the selection of candidates for different categories of posts. Accordingly, the commission will select candidates for recommendation on merit, in order of higher Grade Pay, taking into consideration reservations for SC, ST, and OBC.The examinations will be conducted separately on different dates so that higher degree holders can appear for more than one examination.Bachelor’s Degree Level
The commission will conduct separate examinations for the posts as per the following eligibility criteria.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics.
Stage 1 (Written Exam)
The candidates applying for the graduate-level posts will have to appear in the written test in the first stage of the recruitment process. The written exam details are given below.
  1. Type of Exam: Written Exam
  2. Mode of Exam: Offline
  3. Question Types: Objective Multiple Choice Type Questions (MCQs)
  4. Number of Questions: Will be updated later.
  5. Maximum Marks: 175 Marks

 Merit list
The preparation of a merit list for appointment to various categories of posts will be done through the following steps.
1. List of all the candidates will be prepared in order of merit based on marks obtained in the written examination.
2. In addition, the minimum qualifying marks of the general candidates and the marks obtained in the written examination for the candidates belonging to various reserved categories shall be determined by the Commission for shortlisting the candidates from the above list to be called for the computer test. / other tests / practical tests in the ratio as decided by the commission.
3. The Commission will determine the minimum qualifying marks for Computer Test/Other Test/Practical Test.
4. Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in Computer Test/Other Test/Practical Test will not be eligible for selection. 5. The final merit list for Class III and IV posts will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in the written test and computer test or other test or interview.
