Meeting other bloggers and making new friends is one of the best parts of this online world! Our new #AskAwayFriday hosts…
- What one activity are you looking forward to most for this summer? Any travel plans?
I always look forward to spending extra time with all of the kids during the summer time. We are planning on going to visit my grandmother. We are planning a surprise birthday party for her 90th birthday. I am crossing my fingers that I have low pain that weekend. Plus we will also be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary the same weekend.
- If you won a million dollars but couldn’t spend it on debt, bills or a house, what would you spend it on?
I would donate a portion of the funds to our church so that we can help people in our local community. Then I would buy two new SUV’s (his and hers). I fell in love with the Dodge Durango a few months ago while our SUV was in the shop. I would take the rest of the money and invest it so that we can live off the interest.
- If there was one instrument you could learn without practicing, what would it be?
I wish that I could play the piano. I tried learning a few years ago on my husband’s keyboard but I had trouble playing using both hands and keeping the rhythm. My husband plays the guitar and a few other instruments. My daughter plays the clarinet and my oldest son has been learning how to play the trumpet. My youngest son has always loved music and shows an interest in learning how to play the drums. I really wish that I learned how to play an instrument when I was younger because it is easier when your young to learn and it helps stimulate other areas of your brain.
- I saw on your #AAF with Beth that you’re a social media app junkie. Have you ever tried unplugging for a week (at least from your phone since you need to keep it up as a blogger)?
I haven’t been as active on social media as I was several months ago. I used to spend a lot of time on Twitter, learning new things in chat sessions. I backed off some and only have conversations that I either start or in response to someone on my feed. I do miss learning and bouncing ideas off other people but there aren’t enough hours in the day. I try to find a balance.
