I did have a buddy this week so I used a variety of different questions that I found on Buzz Kenya. I hope you enjoy these fun questions and answers.

  1. Have you ever been pulled over by the cops?

I have been pulled over like three times in my life. The first time I was doing 5 miles over the speed limit. I remember that I was several months pregnant with my daughter and I had to use the restroom. Thankfully, he gave me a warning.

The second time I was pulled over I was on my way to a friends house when I lived in North Carolina. I happened to come down a hill a little too fast and he was sitting there waiting at the bottom of the hill. I deserved the ticket I got. opps

The third time was a little over a year ago, I was driving home really late at night. I was picking up my daughter from an event and we were on our way home. I was minding my own business when I happened to see a trooper turn on his lights behind me. I wasn’t speeding and was like what did I do to get pulled over. The state trooper pulled me over because the license plate lights were out. I got off with a warning and fixed the issue the very next day.

  1. What is the best compliment that you ever received?

I have been told on numerous occasion that I look young. It always makes me feel good.

  1. What is the longest that you have ever gone without sleep?

When I was younger, I could stay up for 24 to 36 hours at a time. I couldn’t do that any more.

  1. What do you order from your favorite restaurant?

I usually order something with chicken.

Chili’s – Grilled chicken salad, margarita chicken, or enchilada soup

On the Border – Monterrey Chicken Fajitas

Olive Garden – Chicken Scampi

  1. Is there anything that you refuse to order at a restaurant?

I am not a super picky person but I refuse to eat crawfish, lobster, and anything else weird.

  1. What cheers me up?

My husband, children, Rhino, Buddy, and music.

  1. What do you constantly think about that makes me sad?

I am constantly thinking about how my life with chronic pain has changed so many things. It doesn’t only affect me but it affects my entire family. I am hoping that my new treatment will give me some relief. My rhematologist put me on another new medication to help with the arthritis pain and the pain associated with my Fibromyalgia. She said it takes several months to work.

I try not to let my pain get the best of me but some days it is tough. I feel like it has robbed me of a life with my husband and children that I once had. I am also going to have surgery in a few months. I have to get a steroid shot in my back in a few weeks. Depending on the outcome of the shot, will depend on what type of surgery that I will likely have to have. I’m kinda hoping for a minimally invasive surgery so that I am not down for too long.

  1. Do you feel that children should be sheltered from unhappiness?

Absolutely not! Life is full of disappointments along the way and they should have to deal with being unhappy as a child. It will teach them how to handle life’s disappointments when mom or dad isn’t there to pick them up and give them hugs and tell them everything is going to be okay.

  1. What habit are you the proudest of breaking?

I never thought that giving up diet soda would be easy for me. I drank so much every single day for years and decided to give it up after the first of the new year. I have heard that the aspertaine can cause symptoms that mimic fibromyalgia and I wanted to see if that was the case for me. However, the soda wasn’t causing my pain but giving it up will keep my bones from getting brittle none the less. Plus, diet soda really isn’t that good for you anyhow. I have been drinking a ton of water, usually infused with fruit, or unsweetened tea.

  1. What is the last picture that I took with my phone?

He started running a fever on Wednesday morning and again this morning so I took him to the doctor. The doctor discovered that he was starting to get an ear infection and that explained the weird fevers. I took the photo because he wasn’t acting sick and was his usual silly self.
