Asda's Shocking Service

By Maxwell1212 @MummyToTheMax
I really did not want to write one of these "moany" types of posts on my blog however I really felt now is the time to put Asda to shame and warn people about them. I am sick of there lies, there poor customer service and quite frankly being ripped off.

For the last few months I have used Asda and it has been nothing but hassle. I normally use Tesco's who are always fab, deliver on time and give me the correct food with long dates however unfortunately sometimes I have to use Asda and when I do I am always disgusted with there service. I can think back to around 3 times in the last few months that I have been shocked by there service and I have always rang up and been lucky to actually get a apology as they seem hard to come by.
The first problem I had was when I made a order and half of my shopping got lost. I was delivered 2 bags of my food shopping all of which was meant to be frozen but actually was defrosted. I rang Asda up to see where the rest was and was told a manager would ring me, we waited over 4 hours and a manager did not ring me. In the end I had to go to Tesco the next day to get my food shopping. The disgusting part of it all was that Asda tried to charge me for the defrosted food which was not edible... would they eat or feed there children deforested food? I was given no compensation for this and had to fight back for my money which they received from me... Up to this date I am still waiting for the manager to call me.

The second problem I had was a few weeks ago. I ordered some nappies which I wanted to collect in store. The store is a 30 mile trip so I rang 1 hour before to see if my order was ready to collect. I was told a manager would ring me back. I waited 40 mins, 20 mins before my order was meant to be collected to be told my order was not ready and the nappies I had ordered were out of stock. I was told they could offer me no substitutes however they would get a manager to call me to discuss the order. That night they decided to cancel my order without informing me! I was disgusted to say the least so I rang up and complained and I was given a £5 voucher and free delivery for my next order. I accepted this although it was breach of there terms to go around cancelling orders and waited patiently also for my money to be returned to me.
The last problem happened today. Today I ordered 37 items of shopping, 37 items of food which isn't much. I ordered my shopping to arrive between 10am and 12pm and waited patiently for its arrival.... 12pm went and my order did not turn up until 10 past 12, If I wanted it at 10 past 12 I would have ordered the next order slot which was £5 instead of the £5.50 I payed for delivery. Without a apology my food was delivered with 7 substitutes and 2 items had not even being substituted so 9 items in total where wrong . Apparently Asda only sell one form of chicken curry which is not true and they could not find any curry at all to substitute me.  Out of my 37 item order my bread was squashed and a few items had very short dates including the bags of fruit I buy Max as a treat, the fruit was brown and had tons of juice in the bag. I was left fuming, I went to look at my receipt to also see that Asda had just gone 1 more step further to really top the biscuit of all biscuits... My E vouchers had not been added - £10.50 worth so I had paid £40 for my shopping instead of £30.

I immediately got on the phone. I was put through to a call center and the customer assistant was unable to help me and left me feeling frustrated. I was not only fobbed off with excuses but also told me that Asda would not give me any type of refund for the poor food nor the vouchers which were meant to be on the order nor any money back for my late delivery although they actually owe me 50p for that as well, so Asda in total you owe me £11 for todays delivery, what if I did not have that £11 in my bank?
Asda's Moto is "Saving You Money Everyday" - Asda you save me no money but instead waste my time, charge me money for things which you should not be charging for and provide shocking customer service. I hope you take note of this blog post and maybe, just maybe find it in your hearts to improve your service as a whole.
