Welcome to our $ 100 million Recurring Revenue Series (ARR), in which we irregularly examine companies that have reached a significant scale while they were still private. The objective of our project is simple: to discover companies of real value beyond the way they are evaluated by private investors.
The exchange is a daily look at startups and private markets for Extra Crunch subscribers; use the code EXCHANGE to get full access and get 25% off your subscription.It's all well and good to get a $ 1 billion appraisal, call yourself a unicorn and walk like you invented the Internet. But reaching the material income ladder means that, unlike some popular businesses, you're actually hard to kill. (And more valuable and more likely to be made public, we count.)
$ 100 M ARR or bust
If you need to catch up, you can find the two most recent entries in the series here and here. For all those who are current, we are adding Snow Software, A Cloud Guru, Zeta Global and Upgrade to the club today. Let's go!
Snow software
This week, Snow Software announced that it has crossed the $ 100 million ARR mark, according to a statement shared with TipsClear. The Swedish software asset management company raised a few private fundraisers, including a $ 120 million equity fundraiser in 2017. But, unlike many American companies on this list, we have no record history of large-scale widespread private capital requirements.
