"Whatever the present moment contains, embrace it as if you had chosen it." -Eckhardt TolleThis is such an incredible quote when you start to break it down. How many of us go, "wow how did that happen" or "that's so amazing that this happened to me." But none of us act as if this is something we chose for ourselves. We behave as if the job promotion we just got was a sheer bit of luck or the piece we recently had published was just karma coming back around because we let someone cross the street in front of us.The truth is, we choose each moment. We may not choose the bad things that happen, like the car accidents or tragedies, but we choose the rest of it. Take a moment to think about the past year of your life. What has changed and how has the change brought you to the person you are today? Catch my drift? If you still aren't sure of where I'm heading with this, think about the idea that every decision you make or have made has brought you to this very moment. Every chance encounter you've had with someone and struck up a conversation with them that has resulted in a friendship, every purchase you've made, even every trip you've gone on...these decisions have made you who you are. Essentially, you chose this moment for yourself. If you chose it for yourself, then how do you choose to be a success or to not be unsuccessful? Simple. I know it's the easiest thing to just lay in bed and watch Netflix and do nothing in the world but lay there and absorb the many seasons of Gossip Girl. In retrospect, that's not doing anything to better yourself or your career. Yes we all love Blair's wardrobe, but its not going to magically appear in your closet. Get off of your butt and do something about your success!Set goals you want to accomplish, CHOOSE this moment. xoBCC
